Hi i have a 2005 pontiac montana van.
Pontiac montana sliding door won t unlock.
Each time lift the outside door latch and try the unlock button again.
It starts to open as usual but then stops as though something is blocking the track.
Door does not open from outside either manually or with any of the buttons.
Then work both the lever and gas door back and forth until it the sliding door works right.
For the sliding doors you need to clean the contacts there are 6 or 8 on both sides just wipe them clean as they are probably covered in oil grease grime.
The power lock works for locking car.
If i open the front passenger door then push on the lever inside the sliding door a couple of.
First off the power lock problem.
I use this van for courier.
Not to each other.
If nothing then remove the right front carpet retainer molding and lift the carpet.

Work the gas door back and forth.
Now try locking unlocking the latch repeatedly.

The cable needs to be lubricated and greased at both ends.
Disconnect the lock switch.

That is put your left hand on the outside door latch and your right hand on the unlock button inside the door the manual one in the door.
Inspect the wire harness that is right there.
If the locks cycle then you have a switch problem.
Sometimes sets off alarm system.
I noticed that the manual sliding door will not lock and unlock with the keyless remote or using the unlock switch on the driver s door.
Ground out the blue wire and then the white wire.

The power door lock will not unlock the doors and i can t get the rear tail gate door open.
