The next step is to go to the inside of the garage door.

Initially always operate manually when the door is down.

You can push the red handle back into the locked position to put the system back to automatic.
If you have a broken spring and the door is up and you actually manage to release the red handle you will go for a ride concrete skiing as the door comes crashing down.
Through the attachment point the trolley is also connected to the opener carriage.
Some units will actually reconnect themselves but this is not typically the case.
